European production under the microscope at Thessaloniki (Cineuropa)

The two-morning programme of debates entitled Co-productions or international sales? is open to the public and takes place at the Industry Centre on November 24 (11:30 am-2.30 pm). The debates will focus on such issues as the best means of financing a film and analyse if there is a conflict between co-productions and the goals of sales outfits. A brief outline of other potential sources of financing will also be provided.

These discussions will be held by a panel moderated by Germany’s Frank Henschke (Palladio Film GmbH & CO KG) and include Rosanna Seregni (Sintra Film, Italy), Pere Domenech (Iris Star, Spain), Marta Lamperova (MDC Int., Germany), Stephen Kelliher (Beyond Films, UK), Gabriele Kranzelbinder (Amour Fou Filmproduktion, Austria) and Yann Le Quellec (EWB-Finance/Wild Bunch Group, France).

Saturday’s conference (12-2 pm) will focus on recent changes in the legal framework of the film industry tax incentive systems in Germany, the UK, Italy, Belgium, France and Hungary. These changes – the impact of which can already be felt by European productions and co-productions – will be the highlight of a discussion moderated by Raimond Goebel (Pandora Films, Germany).

Speakers include Andreas Bajohra (Phantom Pictures, UK), Fabrizia Falzetti (Farout Films, Italy), Patrick Quinet (Artémis Productions, Belgium), Denis Carot (Elzévir Films, France) and Joszef Berger (Mythberg Films, Hungary).
