Agenda 2009:
CO-PRODUCTION FORUMS
The European Producers Club holds four Co-production Forums every year. 25 projects, selected every 3 months in an ongoing process, will be presented at four festivals - Berlin, Cannes, Rome and Copenhagen EFA. Meetings are prepared in advance, so that a truly relevant group of coproducers, sales agents, distributors and/or financiers is present, aware and already interested in the project. EPC staff follows up each event with an appraisal of results, and keeps up to date on the project’s progress so as to provide continuous support.
BILATERAL FORUMS
Through the support of the new MEDIA International Programme, 2009 will mark the organisation of EPC's first Bilateral Forums. Through one-week missions, the objectives of the forums are for professionals to exchange information, increase the circulation of films between nations, and create artistic and business ties. These missions are organised in countries where the EPC has had an ongoing relationship with local professionals for many years.
Beijing (China) - April 2011
Abu Dhabi (UAE) - October 2010
CO-OPERATION FORUMS AND EUROPEAN SCREENINGS
This four-day training programme serves as a "crash course" in exploring the co-production possibilities with India and China. A better understanding of the key players and the host country's film industry, as yet fairly unknown, seems essential for greater exchange and stronger cooperation.
European Screenings: 10 films selected throughout Europe will be showcased in a special screening session in each of the three host countries. The Club will bring along the producers of the 10 films and organise meetings with distributors, producers, sales agents and buyers with the goal of creating a more efficient, direct link between European and other film professionals.
