Cooperation Forum

Since 2005, the EPC has led delegations of European producers and organised co-operation forums in many countries including India, Russia, China, Brazil, and Japan to name a few.

Co-operation Forums consist of a 4-day intensive training session on the host country’s film industry for selected producers. The training’s objective is to facilitate and strengthen the co-production opportunities with international partners by providing participants with specific training on:

  • The local film industry and its key players,
  • Funding possibilities and specific financing mechanism,
  • Co-production treaties and regulation,
  • Film circulation between Europe and the host country.

Throughout the training, EPC experts are there to support the participants in having their films showcased at a special screening session. Producers or EPC representatives are then invited to present the film to a professional audience. Meetings are also organised with producers, distributors, sales agents and other buyers in order to create a more efficient link between European and non-European film professionals.

Bilateral Forums

Through the support of the new MEDIA International Programme, the EPC will resume the organisation of its bi-lateral forums launched in 2009. Through one-week missions, the objectives of the forums are for professionals to exchange information, increase the circulation of films between nations, and create artistic and business ties. These missions are organised in countries where the EPC has had an ongoing relationship with local professionals for many years.

If you wish to participate in our Co-Production Forums, please send a completed application form to .julien<@>europeanproducersclub.org
