Lene Bausager was Academy Award nominated in 2006 for the short film Cashback and has produced promos, documentaries, and live concerts since 1993. For 9 years, she produced promos, short films and commercials for director Sean Ellis mostly through Ridley Scott’s RSA Films. Commercials for Rimmel, Bravo, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Range Rover, while her live concert experience involved artists such as Motorhead, Harry Connick Jr., and Mariah Carey. Ugly Duckling Films is mainly devoted to feature films. In 2005, Lene produced Madonna's ''Hung Up'' video, which got her a Grammy nomination. Before films, Lene worked in the music business for EMI Records, Island Records and Electra Records.

In the last decade we have produced, executive produced and co-produced over twenty films with combined budgets of over $250,000,000. Their recent releases include Hannibal Rising, The Last Legion, Penelope and Death Defying Acts, with The Last Station, directed by Michael Hoffman, that has received two Oscar nominations, one for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Helen Mirren), and one for Best Performance by an Actor in Supporting Role (Christopher Plummer).

Zephyr Films started principal photography on Black Death and helped finance Gurinder Chadha's It's a Wonderful Afterlife.
