CO-PRODUCTION FORUMS

In 2008, the European Producers Club will launch a new version of its co-production forums. 25 projects, selected every 6 months in an ongoing process, will be presented at four festivals - Berlin, Cannes, Rome and Copenhagen EFA. Meetings are prepared in advance, so that a truly relevant group of coproducers, sales agents, distributors and/or financiers is present, aware and already interested in the project. EPC staff follows up each event with an appraisal of results, and keeps up to date on the project’s progress so as to provide continuous support.

CO-OPERATION FORUMS AND EUROPEAN SCREENINGS

This four-day training programme serves as a "crash course" in exploring the co-production possibilities with India and China. A better understanding of the key players and the host country's film industry, as yet fairly unknown, seems essential for greater exchange and stronger cooperation.

European Screenings: 10 films selected throughout Europe will be showcased in a special screening session in each of the three host countries. The Club will bring along the producers of the 10 films and organise meetings with distributors, producers, sales agents and buyers with the goal of creating a more efficient, direct link between European and other film professionals.

China
- March

3 successful forums in China have simply convinced us of the opportunities for developing international coproductions. In March we'll head back east to explore the rich variety of the Chinese film industry, with the support of our partners and contacts from previous years.

India - November

After our resounding successes in Mumbai 2006 and Goa 2007, we're returning to India for more. It's no longer news that Indian cinema is exploding, and the industry is now opening up for international coproduction. At the forum we will study this well-established film industry, engage with the key players and try to gauge the new opportunities for collaboration.
