The European Producers is an association of influential independent film producers from 19 countries across Europe. Founded in 1993 within the framework of the GATS negotiations, we act as a network, an advocacy group and a think tank. Our goals are to inform producers about the latest issues in the film industry, to influence change at a political level, and to encourage coproduction in film across nations. To this end, we have become experts in the organisation of events that bring together film professionals from around the world, whether for conferences, networking meetings, coproduction forums within Europe or extra-European forums and workshops. In addition to our members, the EPC boasts a network of over 3000 industry professionals, and coordinates an alliance of 35 national Producer Associations across Europe through the EPAA (European Producer Associations Alliance). In 2008, we're launching two innovative online global networking services for the film sector: the European Cinema Network (ECN) and the World Cinema Network (WCN). |
