CINÉMAGINAIRE, founded in 1988, is active in the production of feature films, international co-productions and television series. The company has produced over 50 films, many of which won numerous awards on the international circuit, including Denys Arcand’s Oscar winning film THE BARBARIAN INVASIONS. The film was also nominated for Best Original Screenplay, won 3 Césars, including best picture, a David di Donatello and more than forty prestigious awards. Amongst many films, the company produced Denys Arcand’s Yan England’s 1:54, winner of numerous international awards and Denys Arcand’s THE FALL OF THE AMERICAN EMPIRE, sold worldwide.
Denise Robert is a member of the prestigious Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and the Académie des arts et techniques du cinéma (César). She is a also member of the Order of Canada; the Order of La Pléiade and Commander of the Ordre de Montréal. Her work was recognized by the Minister of Cultural Affairs of France for her influential role in the promotion of French culture throughout the world by appointing her Knight in the Order of Arts and Letters.
