FATT Productions is an international Film, Arts, Television and Theatre producer based in Amsterdam. The core business is producing feature films and TV-drama. Made with high quality and aiming for a world-wide audience. Like a popular Dutch saying, we aim for an audience we like to say it: “From Amsterdam To Tokyo.”
FATT Productions was founded by Hans de Weers in 2014, a producer with more than 25 years of experience in producing films, TV drama, and documentaries. He has produced many films including ANTONIA’S LINE (Oscar winning), and MRS. DALLOWAY by Marleen Gorris, MINDHUNTERS (Renny Harlin) and BLUE BIRD (Chrystal Bear Berlin) NEW KIDS TURBO and NEW KIDS NITRO and recently Tulipani, Love, Honour ad a Bike (Mike Van Diem) and My Best Friend Anne Frank (Ben Sombogaart) as well as successful TV series, like the International Emmy nominated TOKYO TRIAL for Netflix.
With FATT Productions, de Weers aims to put international co-productions front and center. In other words, producing quality Films and TV productions for a broad public, suitable for the Dutch, and more important, the foreign markets

TULIPANI tells the story of a romantic Dutch farmer named Gauke who, after losing his farm during the floods of 1953 is determined to never ever have wet socks again. He cycles to the sizzling hot south of Italy to start a new life and ends up at the outskirts of a small village in Puglia. Due to his fairylike and miraculous tulip trade, his passionate love-life and his turbulent scuffles with the dubious local business practices, he becomes a living legend - to then suddenly disappear.

Following WWII, the Dutch judge Röling becomes one of the eleven Allied judges on the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal. The political, professional, and personal conflicts cause this to be the most important of his life. In the end it took the judges almost 1000 days to come to a final verdict.
