COMPANY PROFILE

Filmlance International, one of Sweden's largest independent production companies, has produced award-winning, high-end feature films and television for a worldwide audience sincits launce in 1988. Filmlance's filmography of more than 100 titles includes audience-beloved and critically acclaimed feature films, animated children's films, TV movies, TV series, and short films. 

Filmlance is the proud producer of the international hit series Bron/Broen which has multiple awards to its credit and a fourth season upcoming. Bron/Brone has been sold to more than 178 countries and its two remakes, The Tunnel (Kudos, France/UK) and The Bridge (Shine America, USA/Mexico), have both enjoyed tremendous worldwide success. A Russian version is also currently being produced (Weit Meida, Russia/Estonia). 

Since its inception, Filmlance has been engaging in chuldren and youth films. We have had a long-standing collaboration with Per Åhlin & PennFilm Studios on the Laban The Little Ghost films and Little Tall Uncle, as well as with Saltkråkan & Bildmakarna Berg, in breathing new life into Astrid Lindgrin's classic story of Emil In Lönneberga.

On New Year's Day 2018, The Bridge IIII premiered on SVT (Swedish Television). Four new BECK films (C-more/TV4), a second season of Cilla & Rolf Börjlind's Spring Tide (SVT) and new films in The Sandhamn Murders series (C-more/TV4) will also air in 2018. In October/November 2017, season three of Boobs To The Wall will air on SVT. Filmlance is currently developing a TV series on Fredrik Backman's celebrated novel Beartown, and a new TV series from Jens Lapidus, the writer behind the Easy Money trilogy, which seeks to inspire a new ear of the Nordic Noir genre. We also have several exciting original stories in development. 

Filmlance has 24 employees and is a part of The Endemol Shine Group. Anders Landström has worked with film and TV production since 1985. He started his work as a producer at Filmlance International AB in August 2000 and has worked with a mix of feature films and TV series. He is MD for Filmlance since September 1st 2018. His recent works includes all four seasons the acclaimed and multi-award winning TV series Bron/Broen, and the award winning feature films Glowing Stars and Elina.

BRON/BROEN IIII  2018

Almost two years later, a woman is found brutally murdered on Pepparholm Island at the base of the bridge. It turns out that the murder women is Margrethe Thormod, General Director of the Migration Agency in Copenhagen, and perhaps the motif is to be found in a scandal around a deportation that recently hit Margrethe personally. Henrik Sabroe starts to  investigate the macabre murder with this Danish colleague Jonas Mandrup. 

Henrik misses his colleague and friend Saga Norén, who is incarcerated in the women's prison in Ystad, convicted of murdering her mother. Henrik visits her as often as he can and wants her to help him with the new case, but Saga points out that she isn't a police officer anymore and can't help him. The same goes for Henrik's missing children; Saga can't help and Henrik is close to giving up the search. 

This last season, Henrik and Saga both suffer on a personal level, their special friendship is put to difficult tests and once again events from the past will make themselves felt, and by the end of the season nothing is the same anymore for neither Saga nor Henrik.

A man is beaten to death in the Middle East. In Stockholm, a young woman disppears on her way home from worl. These two events will prove to be related. Since Martin Beck has quit, Steinar Hovland leads to search for the missing girl. But Martin is drawn into the case when he decided to help the National Security Police to investigate a suspected terrorist. They soon realize that they are in a race against time to stop a catastrophe. 

THE SANDHAMN MURDERS, SEASON 6  2018

The summer has just begun and new summer guests Carsten and Celia Larsson have invited the entire island to a summer party to unveil their newly built luxury home in Fyrudden. But not everyone is looking forward to the party. The large construction project has invited the ire of many of the island’s residents, who are far from pleased with their new neighbors. Carsten receives anonymous threats, and has also alienated the construction workers by falling behind on his payments. An uninvited guest shows up just in time for the party, as well. Nora is more neutral to the island’s newcomers and both she and Jonas are excited to go to the party. A party that will end in catastrophe...
