H&V Entertainment (Odeon Film AG) belongs to the largest independent production companies for television and feature films in Germany. Until now, the company has produced and co-produced 79 TV-series with around 2665 episodes, 180 TV-movies, 47 feature films, 20 documentaries, diverse shows, and mini-series.
Since the 1980’s, successful series like Ein Fall Für Zwei (A Case For Two, ZDF-Primetime-Series) or Der Kriminalist (The Detective, Season 11, ZDFPrimetime- Series starring Christian Berkel) have reached top-ranks on German television. Formats such as KDD – Kriminaldauerdienst (ZDF) or Türkisch Für Anfänger (Turkish For Beginners, Ard) were awarded several national and international prizes such as the German Television Award, the Rocky Award at Banff World Television Festival or the Golden Nymph and have sold very well internationally. ZDF-Crime thriller series Letzte Spur Berlin (Disappeared - The M.P.U.) gained great viewing rates lately, the sixth season has already been greenlit.
2012 the company realized the TV film adaption of Jean-Christophe Grangé’s bestselling novel Flight Of The Storks, which is a production of EuropaCorp, France, in coproduction with H & V Entertainment / Odeon Film, Tele München, Germany and Moonlighting Films, South Africa. The movie from Jan Kounen stars Harry Treadaway (Fish Tank), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner, Batman Begins), Clemens Schick (Largo Witch II) and Perdita Weeks (The Tudors).

Deadwind is a highly thrilling and emotional Nordic Crime series mixing crime investigation and personal drama of the main character Sofia Karppi, a female detective in her 40’s who has just lost her husband and is left alone with two children to take care of. The crime starts with the body. Finnish construction company Tempo is planning a borough in Helsinki, which generates its own energy with a private wind turbine park. Things get complicated when a woman’s body is found underneath the construction site.
