Kino Oko is an established film company based in Skopje, Macedonia. Previously closely related to Partysans Production (www.partysans.com.mk), it was founded in 2001 as an independent production company specialized in film and television production, documentaries, commercials, public events and campaigns.

 

Kino Oko is a full-service production and distribution company representing programming for both the domestic and international marketplace. In addition to its production capabilities, Kino Oko can handle all the details of your production, from scripting throughout final edit. Talent selection, location searches, postproduction, cultural consultants, foreign language translations, overdubbing, and original music compositions are among the services it readily provides at the moment’s notice. Zoran, an eight-year-old boy, is the hero of this story. It is through his eyes that we experience all the cruelty of war, the poverty, suffering and the images of the occupation of Skopje, the city that the Germans occupied in 1942 with the help of their Bulgarian allies. Zoran’s father, Dushan is a member of the partisan forces. His uncle, Georgi is also a member of the resistance who plays a part in the assassination of a high-ranking German officer, as well as in the evacuation and transport of Jews to the free territories. However, he fails to save from deportation his neighbours and close friends, the Jewish family Rossman.

Ljubljana, Shishka district: Fedr, Mile, and Zekir, three childhood friends, are now already in their thirties.  Fedr is an ex-skinhead and a passionate Olimpija basketball team supporter. He has a five-year old daughter Kristina. Zekir is an orphan. He used to move around a lot and live in youth detention centres. Mile is the »intellectual« one. He acts confident but in fact, he still lives with his mother. His father is an ex-JNA officer, who moved back to Macedonia in the nineties. All three of them earn their living by doing odd jobs. Mile, additionally, has a small marijuana growing laboratory in the apartment where he lives with his mother. Neither of them is very successful at anything in life. One day, Fedr’s aunt passes away and leaves him her sewing workshop. Then, a business idea strikes them: they will open a pizzeria...

THE THIRD HALF is a story (inspired by true stories) of Spitz, the German-Jewish coach of the historic Macedonia Football Team during the WW2, which under his leadership became the champion of the fascist-controlled Bulgarian National Football League - and also a story of Rebbecca, a rich Jewish girl that eloped with one of his poor Christian footballers.
