Apple Tree Productions in Denmark and Sweden produces drama series for Nordic and international audiences. The company was founded in 2017 by Piv Bernth and Lars Hermann with ITV Studios as partner.

 

The company’s first production, Equinox, premiered on Netflix on 30. December 2020. The second series, Baby Fever S1 premiered on Netflix 8. June 2022.

 

In January 2023, Swedish series Blackwater premiered - co-produced with SVT, Filmpool Nord and ARD Degeto, and produced with the support from Nordisk Film & TV Fund and the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme and with support from DR, YLE, RUV, and NRK – and ITV Studios Global Distribution as international sales agents. The series won at Series Mania for Best Series at the International Panorama Section in 2023.

 

Also, Chorus Girls, produced for Danish TV2, Sweden’s SVT and Iceland’s RUV premiered in 2023 with fantastic reviews and has been selected for competition at  Monte Carlo 2023. The series is also sold internationally by ITVSGD.

 

In May 2023, One of the Boys, produced for Viaplay Group will premiere internatiobally on the Viaplay platform. The series was selected for the Short Form competitiion at Series Mania 2023.
