Company Profile

Áralan Films was created in 2004, and based in Spain (Seville).
It is dedicated to produce projects with different and special values, such as a strong
cultural identity or a clear commercial style. We used to have a valuable partners to achieve
success with productions.

Recently, they have produced “RITA” directed by Paz Vega and the series "INVISIBLE" for Disney Plus, based on the Spanish best seller by Eloy Moreno, and released the movie “After the Summer” directed by Yolanda Centeno´s debut.
Its movie “Saturn Return” (directed by Isaki Lacuesta and Pol Rodríguez) was selected by Spanish academy to represent in Oscars to Spain.

Seville, summer of 1984.
Rita and Lolo are brother and sister, 7 and 5 years old, who live at the heart of a humble, working-class
family.
The summer holidays are starting, the sun’s burning rays are beating down and the whole country has
football fever after Spain has qualified for the quarter finals of the European Cup. Rita dreams of going
to the beach, but at home, what her father says goes. . . always, and for him watching the games is
unfortunately the priority. For the first time, Rita starts to question why this is. She’s also starting to
realise that her home is becoming less and less safe, especially for her mother.
In an attempt to escape her surroundings, Rita dives deep into her imagination, searching for a way to
bear the unbearable, in what will turn out to be her last summer as an innocent child.

Granada, late 1990s. In the midst of artistic and cultural effervescence, an indie band faces its most delicate moment: the bassist leaves the group in search of her own path outside of music, and the guitarist is caught in a dangerous spiral of self-destruction. Meanwhile, the singer struggles through a difficult process of writing and recording their third album. No one knows that this album will forever change the country’s music scene.
