The Chouchkov Brothers is an independent film production company based in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was established in 2003 by two brothers, Borislav Chouchkov (producer) and Viktor Chouchkov Jr. (director) following their many years of experience in film arts and the audiovisual industry. Both are managing directors and active producers in the company. The main goal of the company is to develop and produce feature films and international co-productions, and to work with talanted directors on international level.

Chouchkov Brothers offers full production services for films, commercials and film music score recording in Bulgaria. The company owns up-to-date digital cameras and post-production studio.

Our music division SIF 309 – together with Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra is one of the leaders in original score recording in Europe – in the 90’s the company starts with four films composed by Ennio Morricone. For the past 25 years of experience, now we have completed more than 1000 recordings!


Chouckov Brothers is a member of the European Producers Club (EPC), a member of the Ateliers du Cinéma Européen (ACE), and a member of the Association of the Bulgarian Film Producers. In 2011 the company was among the top 5 nominees in the category Business Development of Forbes Magazine Bulgaria.

On 22 May 1963, a group of soldiers come together to take charge of the National Radio Station in Istanbul in order to declare their coup d’etat. The people and events that they come across on the way to the Radio Station display life experiences to which they are foreign. At the end of the night, the protagonists are ‘defeated to a radio station’. The civic life that have passed by them throughout the night, the richness and complexity it harbours, crushes them with its invisible interminable power.

A group of German workers has been sent to side construction in Bulgaria. The spectacular landscape and the wild nature wake the adventurous feelings in them as of a vacation camp. After the men learn that there is a village nearby, they face the controversy between their yearning for a contact with the local people and their own incredulity and prejudices. In a moment of fear, one of them, Mainland, present him as a foreign legion to the locals. This lies does not stop to hunt him and he contradicts the friendship that has been established with the locals. For both, him and Chief Vincent, with whom they confront since the begging, the village becomes a scene where the fight for attention and respect form the locals, one flight, that fills the false story of the foreign legion.
