Carlotta Ca'zorzi

Carlotta Ca’ Zorzi is the Head of Legal Affairs and Business Affairs at Fandango, one of the leading
independent film and television production companies in Italy. Since 2020, she has been responsible
for managing the legal, negotiation, and contractual aspects of film and audiovisual productions, as
well as opportunities for public funding (including tax credits, national, regional, and European
funds) and private financing, international co-productions, and production and distribution
partnerships with broadcasters, distributors, and streaming platforms. She participates in associative
activities at both the Italian level (ANICA) and European level (European Producer Club), particularly
concerning the impacts of legislation and sector regulation on the business.
She is a member of the Copyright Thematic Committee in Anica, a forum for dialogue among
companies belonging to the various Unions of ANICA (producers, distributors, streaming platforms),
addressing issues related to copyright law and its impact on the different segments of the industry
chain.
In May 2024, she was elected to the Board of the European Producer Club, a European network of
approximately 200 prominent independent producers.
Throughout her twenty-year professional experience in the audiovisual sector, Carlotta Ca’ Zorzi has
gained in-depth knowledge of the legislation and regulation of the sector, as well as copyright law
as applied to media, and has solid experience within industry enterprises. She was responsible for
six years for the Legal and Regulatory Affairs department at La7 S.p.A. (Cairo Communication Group),
managing relationships with independent authorities and relevant ministries. Additionally, she was
a member of the Permanent Advisory Committee for Copyright (CCPDA – Comitato Consultivo
Permanente sul Diritto d’Autore) established under the Copyright Law from 2019 to 2023, upon the
proposal of Confindustria Radio TV.
Previously, Carlotta Ca’ Zorzi worked at Telecom Italia Media S.p.A. (a Telecom Italia company
dedicated to media, which included La7, MTV, and the current Timvision) in various roles, including
involvement in activities related to the transition of television from analog to digital terrestrial and
in the regulatory and institutional activities of the Group.
In the past, she has overseen the planning of EU structural funds for enterprises and managed
funded projects at Sviluppo Italia (the Foreign Investment Development Agency in Italy).
She holds a degree in Political Science (economic-international pathway) from the University of
Padua (1996) and has an international background, having obtained the IB diploma at the United
World College of the Atlantic in Wales, UK, and attended St. Andrews University in Scotland and
Boston University, MA, USA during her university years. She has also participated in internships and
research projects at the European Parliament and the European Commission in Brussels.
She is bilingual in Italian and English, with a fair knowledge of French.
