Company Profile

Menuetto is a Belgian independent film & tv production company, founded in 2017 by Hans Everaert, who was CFO of the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF) for about a decade before he became producer, working on such titles as Girl (Lukas Dhont, Camera d’Or Cannes 2018), La Civil (Teodora Ana Mihai, Audacity Prize Cannes 2021), The Eight Mountains (Felix van Groeningen & Charlotte Vandermeersch, Jury Prize Cannes 2022) and WILL (Tim Mielants, Netflix 2024). 

Releases for 2026 include Heysel 85 (selected for Berlinale Special Gala), Let Love In (Felix van Groeningen) and The Assignment (Patrice Toye).

In 2021 Hans Everaert was nominated by the American trade magazine Variety as one of their "Ten Producers to Watch" worldwide.

The Eight Mountains is the story of a friendship. Of children becoming men who try to erase the footprints of their fathers, but who, through the twists and turns they take, always end up returning home. Pietro is a boy from the city, Bruno is the last child of a forgotten mountain village. Over the years Bruno remains faithful to his mountain, while Pietro is the one who comes and goes. Their encounters introduce them to love and loss, reminding them of their origins, letting their destinies unfold, as Pietro and Bruno discover what it means to be true friends for life.

La Civil tells the story of Cielo, a mother in search of her daughter, abducted by a criminal cartel in Northern Mexico. As the authorities fail to offer support in the search, Cielo takes matters into her own hands and turns from housewife into avenging activist. The story was inspired by true events.
