Company Profile

MFP was founded by Michael Weber and Viola Fügen to produce arthouse films of the high quality for which The Match Factory is known for, from both established directors (e.g. Karim Aïnouz, Marco Bellocchio, Iciar Bollain, Małgorzata Szumowska) and emerging talents (e.g. Tatiana Huezo, Francesca Alegria, Türker Süer). With this company they hope to continue the work and legacy that they have started and established with their previous ventures.

In 2023, we successfully completed two shoots and are now in post- production with EDGE OF NIGHT by Türker Süer (Premiered at Venice 2024) and SEPTEMBER SAYS by Ariane Labed. SEPTEMBER SAYS was announced as a part of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival Un Certain Regard Selection.

We have also started work on Lisandro Alonso’s new film DOUBLE FREEDOM.
