Company Profile

Established in Athens in 2014 by producer Amanda Livanou, Neda quickly became one of the most respected boutique companies in Greece with a flair for developing new talent and European co-productions.

In 2018 Neda Film co-founded with Calliope Charalambous, the Athens International Children’s Festival which quickly became the leading film festival for children in the capital. The festival is currently in its eighth edition. Company founder Amanda Livanou is the President of the Festival.

In addition, Neda has been developing a strong animation slate while partnering with a new, energetic generation of Greek animators who have studied abroad and are now building their work portfolios, through short films and collaborations with European producers and animation content.  In the last couple of years the company has expanded into TV drama  development with a strong international angle.

Since 2020, Neda Film’s development slate is supported by the MEDIA - Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

Neda is a river in the Greek region of Peloponnese, the only river in the Greek language that is addressed as a female.
