Odeon Fiction is one of the largest independent production companies in Germany. It is run by Mischa Hofmann, who founded Hofmann & Voges / H&V Entertainment in 1997 and brought the company into Odeon Group when he became its CEO in 2010.

The company is currently producing four to five long-running TV series like EIN FALL FÜR ZWEI, LETZTE SPUR BERLIN for ZDF, or HARTER BROCKEN for ARD Degeto, which are reaching top-ratings on German television. Formats such as KDD – KRIMINALDAUERDIENST or TÜRKISCH FÜR ANFÄNGER received several national and international awards such as the Rose D’Or, the German Television Award, and the Grimme-Preis. In addition to producing for the public broadcasters, Odeon Film’s recent developments have been commissioned by the newer players in Germany such as Netflix, TNT, Amazon, or SKY, and will be announced soon. Odeon Film is also stepping more and more into international productions and has recently produced the English language spy thriller series SPY CITY by William Boyd starring Dominic Cooper (ZDF, Magenta TV, Miramax) and co-produced Finnish-German scandi-noir series DEADWIND (YLE, Netflix). In 2019, newly set up German studio LEONINE, which is run by CEO Fred Kogel, bought Herbert Kloiber’s licensing company Tele München Group, which owns a majority stake in Odeon Film.
