COMPANY PROFILE
Space Rocket is a Danish independent production company dedicated to producing highly artistic, edgy, and counter-cultural feature films for an international audience. The company was founded in 2008 by producer Lene Børglum and director Nicolas Winding Refn after their successful collaboration on Refn’s feature film VALHALLA RISING. Refn left the company in 2022.
Space Rocket has produced Refn’s films ONLY GOD FORGIVES starring Ryan Gosling and Kristin Scott Thomas (Cannes Official Competition 2013) and THE NEON DEMON starring Elle Fanning, Karl Glusman and Jena Malone (Cannes Official Competition 2016), Liv Corfixen’s feature documentary MY LIFE DIRECTED BY NICOLAS WINDING REFN (Fantastic Fest 2014) and Lene Staehr’s feature documentary ESKIMO DIVA, as well as Refn’s TV series Too Old To Die Young in collaboration with Amazon, and Anders Refn’s WWII dramas Into the Darkness and Out of the Darkness starring Jesper Christensen, Vibeke Muasya’s thriller Twisted, and is in development with several other projects.
