Yellow Studios is the biggest Nordic independent studio. The company was founded in 1994 by writers and creative producers and has since been producing high-quality scripted content for the European television and film markets. Yellow Studios Group includes two production companies Yellow Film & TV Finland and Newgrange Pictures Ireland plus AI post production company 255 Pix. Annually the company develops, finances, produces, and distributes on average 2-4 feature films, 6-10 scripted series, and 6-10 non-scripted series. Some of Yellow's recent international productions include the crime series Arctic Circle, medical drama format Nurses, crime series 66 North Precinct and action-comedy Supercool. In the Nordics, Yellow is known for its hard-hitting and fresh comedies such as the Lapland Odyssey film franchise, family sitcom Sunday Lunch, and suburban dramedy Downshifters.
